Janko at Age 10

The last time I was visiting my parents’ apartment, I came across an old photograph of Janko (my father) at age 10.  Clearly, Janko (on the right) always wanted to be an architect.  I am not so sure about his cousin Igor (on the left).

Little did I know that "Everybody Will Be Singing It"

During my architectural photo shoot with Norman McGrath at the offices of A&M Octone Records, I heard a very catchy, upbeat tune. When I asked David Boxenbaum, A&M Octone’s General Manager, about the song; he said that it was a new artist of theirs named K’NAAN.
He was kind enough to give me a copy of CD to take home. While working with David and CEO, James Diener, I was lucky enough to sample music by some of their other artists like Maroon 5. I was also treated to mind blowing card tricks expertly executed by James Diener at the end of our project meetings.

Anyway, my wife and I listened to K’NAAN’s “Troubadour” all summer and fell in love with the album. Little did I know that the Coca-Cola Company (another client of Janko Rasic Architects, PLLC) would select that catchy upbeat tune, “Wavin’ Flag”, for the theme song for its sponsorship of the World Cup soccer championship, to be held in South Africa in June 2010. For more information see K’NAAN featured in the Wall Street Journal article “Everyone Will Be Singing It”.
